Good news for Andalusia at last with the new measures against the coronavirus
JUANMA MORENO, the president of the Junta de Andalucia has announced fantastic news with the new measures against coronaviruses
The president said the fifth wave blew up the junta’s de-escalation plans, which called for reaching the “new normal” in late June, and that the new Delta variant forced the administration to toughen measures and delay the easing of restrictions, but now, with the accumulated incidence and hospital pressure in full remission, the regional government is proposing a new scenario.
The new measures will come into force on Wednesday September 1 at midnight.
Bars and restaurants will now be able to open until 2 a.m., although they must stop serving at 1 a.m., and the number of diners is increased to eight inside and ten outside. which gives them an hour longer than before, while nightlife venues can be open until 3:30 a.m., although they must stop serving at 3 a.m., and their capacity is increased to 250 people on level 1, and 200 people on level 2.
Glaciers and theme parks can open until 2 a.m., as long as municipalities allow, and the capacity allowed for celebrations, funerals and conferences is also extended, depending on alert levels, and the Council will also request an extension of the capacity in football matches, which is currently set at 40 percent.
The community emerged this week from the extreme alert level for the coronavirus after the rate fell below 250 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, with only two provinces, Huelva and Seville, having an average incidence above this barrier.
